Great Miracles of Grace in September 2026 for SSIH Mission

Like the Apostles after Pentecost, they have taken up their stoles, their breviaries, & their mission crosses, & have gone forth to hear confessions, to baptize, to offer the Holy Sacrifice pro vivis et defunctis, & to catechize. They work & suffer alongside their Bishop, in hunger, in thirst, under the scorching sun, for the love of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.

SOCIETAS SACRATISSIMI ET IMMACULATI CORDIS JESU ET MARIAE (SSIH)

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam et Salutem Animarum

GENERALATE: OUR LADY QUEEN OF ANGELS, MAKURDI, BENUE STATE, NIGERIA

Feast of The Holy Guardian Angels, 2nd October 2026

Admodum Reverendi Patres, Venerabiles Fratres, Dilectissimi Benefactores et Fideles in Christo, Gratia et Pax a Domino Nostro Jesu Christo, per Immaculatum Cor Mariae.

It is with a heart overflowing with profound gratitude to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our august Patroness, that the Generalate of our humble Society renders this comprehensive account of the great mercies which Divine Providence hath wrought in our midst in recent weeks.

By the singular grace of God - Sola Gratia Dei - and by that most sweet and all-wise Divine Providence which disposes all things fortiter et suaviter, the episcopal consecration for the needs of our Society and for the salvation of souls in this land was happily effected on the 15th day of August, in the Year of Our Lord 2026, being the glorious Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven.

This coincidence is not fortuitous, but profoundly theological, and most consonant with our charism.

Our Society, though most unworthy, takes its very being from the two Hearts - Cor Jesu Sacratissimum et Cor Mariae Immaculatum - united in one love, one sorrow, one triumph. What feast, therefore, could be more fitting for the perpetuation of the true Catholic Episcopate amongst us?

According to the Sacred Scriptures, the Woman clothed with the sun, whom St. John beheld in his Apocalypse, is crowned with twelve stars: "Signum magnum apparuit in caelo: Mulier amicta sole, et luna sub pedibus ejus, et in capite ejus corona stellarum duodecim" (Apoc. 12:1). This Woman is Mary, assumed body and soul into heavenly glory, the eschatological icon of Holy Mother Church triumphant.

According to the Sacred Tradition, as taught by St. John Damascene, St. Robert Bellarmine, and St. Alphonsus: "Oportuit eam quae in partu virginitatem servaverat, in morte corpus suum incorruptum servare." It was fitting that she who had preserved her virginity in childbirth should preserve her body incorrupt from corruption.

According to the Sacred Magisterium, our Holy Father Pope Pius XII, of venerable memory, in his Apostolic Constitution Munificentissimus Deus (1st November 1950) infallibly defined: "Immaculatam Deiparam semper Virginem Mariam, expleto terrestris vitae cursu, fuisse corpore et anima ad caelestem gloriam assumptam." The Assumption is the crowning privilege, the seal of Mary's Immaculate Heart, now reigning with the Sacred Heart of her Son.

Thus, to have a Bishop consecrated on this day signifies that our Society, dedicated to these Two Hearts, places its episcopate under the direct Queenship of Mary, Regina Angelorum et Apostolorum. As she was assumed to be mediatrix beside the King, so our episcopate is assumed to defend her Son's Kingship in this time of general apostasy and abandonment.

If the day was glorious, the vessel chosen was marked by that evangelical simplicity which Our Lord loves. His Excellency, Bishop Abah Onuh Samuel-Maria, is a man in whom we see verified the words of Scripture: "Deposuit potentes de sede et exaltavit humiles" (Luc. 1:52).

He is not a man of worldly display. Having lived and laboured for years in hiddenness, in hunger and thirst for justice, bearing with patience the long waiting of our seminarians, he has imbibed the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, of the Curé d'Ars, and of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. His humility is not affected; it is ontological. He speaks little, prays much, and like a true Pontifex, a bridge-builder, he seeks only the salvation of souls, Salus animarum suprema lex.

He refused all pomp, desiring only that the traditional Pontificale Romanum be followed integrally, that the Holy Ghost may descend without hindrance. Verily, Deus superbis resistit, humilibus autem dat gratiam (Jac. 4:6).

Following the luminous example of the great Confessors of the Faith - St. Athanasius who, exiled and persecuted, ordained bishops and priests to preserve the Depositum Fidei, and His Excellency Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, who in 1988, moved by state of necessity - Etat de nécessité, consecrated bishops that the Traditional Latin Mass and true Priesthood might not perish - our newly consecrated Bishop immediately set his hand to the plough.

On the 19th day of August, 2026, Feast of our Patron Saint -St. John Eudes and founder of the Congregation of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary, in our Chapel of Our Lady Queen of Angels, His Excellency, conferred the Major Orders of Subdiaconate and Diaconate upon our long-waiting seminarians.

These Levites of the Lord had completed their philosophical and theological studies some years past - formed in the Summa Theologica of St. Thomas Aquinas, in Moral Theology according to St. Alphonsus Liguori, in the strict observance of the 1962 Breviarium Romanum - but had waited in prayer, in tears, and in hope, as the ancient Israelites waited by the rivers of Babylon. Their waiting was not in vain. As Holy Scripture saith: "Expectantes expectavi Dominum, et intendit mihi" (Ps. 39:2).

By receiving the Subdiaconate, they have been bound forever to the angelic virtue of perpetual chastity and to the daily recitation of the Divine Office, becoming officially men of the Church. By receiving the Diaconate, they have become ministers of the altar, to sing the Holy Gospel and to serve the Priest at the august Sacrifice of the Mass.

And now we come to the culminating joy. On the 19th day of September, 2026, Traditional Feast Day of Our Lady of Salette where she cried and declared " Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist". His Excellency conferred the Sacred Priesthood, the second degree of Holy Orders, upon twelve Deacons.

Permit us, dear faithful, to elaborate the profound mystery of this number.

Our Lord Himself chose Twelve Apostles as the foundation stones of His Church: "Et fecit ut essent duodecim cum illo" (Marc. 3:14). Twelve is the number of apostolic fullness, of the tribes of Israel perfected in the New Israel which is the Church. The Holy City, as described by St. John, has twelve foundations bearing the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb (Apoc. 21:14).

Yet Sacred Tradition speaks of a thirteenth Apostle, St. Paul, Vas Electionis, called outside the number, out of due time, to be the Apostle of the Gentiles. So too here, our twelve newly ordained priests stand in collegial unity with their Bishop, Bishop Abah Onuh Samuel-Maria, who is to them as Paul was - the thirteenth, labouring more abundantly than all: "Abundantius illis omnibus laboravi" (I Cor. 15:10), not by his own strength but by the grace of God with him.

Thus we have not merely twelve priests, but an apostolic college - thirteen apostolic men - going forth like the first Apostles, without purse or scrip, to seek the lost sheep in the little villages, in the hamlets, in the bush, where the true Mass has not been offered for decades.

And already, Deo gratias, they have begun to work. Immediately after ordination, like the Apostles after Pentecost, they have taken up their stoles, their breviaries, and their mission crosses, and have gone forth to hear confessions, to baptize, to offer the Holy Sacrifice pro vivis et defunctis, and to catechize. They work and suffer alongside their Bishop, in hunger, in thirst, under the scorching sun, for the love of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.

This is the true priesthood according to the mind of the Council of Trent: "Si quis dixerit... non esse Sacerdotium visibile et externum... anathema sit." It is a sacrificing priesthood, ordained not to preside over an assembly, but to OFFER SACRIFICE - Sacerdos enim est qui sacrificium offert.

How shall we describe the joy of our humble Society? The words of the Psalmist alone suffice: "In convertendo Dominus captivitatem Sion, facti sumus sicut consolati" (Ps. 125:1). When the Lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we were filled with consolation.

Tears flowed freely on the day of priestly ordination. Old men and women who had not seen a true priest in fifty to sixty years, knelt in the dust to kiss the newly anointed hands of these priests. The massive turn-out of little villages - Gboko, Mbaluka, Idelle, Makurdi, Agboghul, Otukpo, Oju, Ikwata, Koti-Yough, Asukunya, Usen, Wannune, Adogo, Gbem, Mbaduku et cetra, the villages of the Tiv, Igede and Idoma hinterlands - is nothing short of miraculous. Whole villages who had lapsed or had been deceived by the novelties of the conciliar church are now returning en masse to the true Faith, asking for Mass, for catechism, for the brown scapular, for the Rosary. They cry out, as in the time of St. Patrick: "Come and remain with us!"

The harvest indeed is great, but the labourers, though now increased, are still few.

Finally, and with the most profound and unfeigned gratitude, we must, as a strict duty of justice and charity, thank our sponsors and benefactors, both in Nigeria and beyond, in America, Europe, Asia, Africa et al.

This work - this episcopal consecration, the long formation of seminarians, their ordinations, their sustenance and missionary travels - would have been humanly impossible without you. You have been there for us, always, when we had no support. You gave from your poverty, from your widow's mite. You prayed, you sacrificed, you suffered with us.

We wish to stress this very well: YOU ARE TRUE CO-FOUNDERS OF THIS MISSION. EVERY MASS OFFERED BY THESE TWELVE PRIESTS, EVERY SOUL SAVED, EVERY CONFESSION HEARD, EVERY CHILD BAPTIZED IN THE TRADITIONAL RITE, SHALL BE CREDITED TO YOUR ACCOUNT BEFORE GOD.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who has promised to reward abundantly those who assist His priests, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Queen of Angels, reward you richly, a hundredfold in this life and with eternal life in the next. As Holy Scripture says: "Qui recipit prophetam in nomine prophetae, mercedem prophetae accipiet" (Matt. 10:41).

We beg you not to abandon us now. The mission has only begun. The priests need chasubles, monstrances, breviaries, cassocks, mass stipends, motorcycles, vehicles, et cetera to reach the villages, buildings and roofs for our chapels.

Pictures below of all the recent graces and Divine work.

We entrust you all to the Two Hearts.

Cor Jesu Sacratissimum, miserere nobis! Cor Mariae Immaculatum, ora pro nobis!

Christus Vincit! Christus Regnat! Christus Imperat!
